Feeling much stronger these days. I think taking a week off of riding helped. Hopefully am getting taken off the blood thinners on Thursday, or at least getting put on a lighter dose :worship:

I hope you are back to normal soon..

a semi easy night tonight.. we only had daylight for 25.. I kept it in the small chain ring and spun.. spun our brains out at times.. and we averaged 20mph for the ride... :D

I am starting to do a lot of the hill climbs in the big gear at the front. That means my strength is coming back. Thats a good sign. I figure if I am going to make a breakaway, it will have to be on a hill. I think I am going to shut down mountain biking for the rest of the year. My reaction time is too slow. Doctor thinks it might be a hold over from the mini stroke last year...kinda sucks really :x
I'll just stick to the road for now.

Yes, it has been pretty frustrating. Had a mini stroke in 2001, and another one in 2009, and they think I had one in 2008. I also got a bad concussion in 2008 from a MTB crash. Brains been beaten up a bit
I know out on the trails my timing is off enough to make me feel uncomfortable. On the road right now I am only riding with people I have complete trust in

Watch the number of mini-strokes...they start to add up. I have next to no short term memory and while I used to be very good at math, I can barely do it now. Also have a problem calling things buy their right name.
Kept calling our new Tear Drop a wheel barrow for a while, I guess because of the shape
Anyway, they got me on blood thinners and other stuff right now, and I know it is affecting my cycling :x

The one confirmed stroke.. hit a nerve to one of my eye muscles.. I was seeing double for a bit.. .. that normally fully recovers.. and mine did fairly quickly. If one is to get a stroke.. that is a good one to have. My bp was too high.. and I got more serious about it after that

I did have much for cognitive difficulties with a couple of the head injuries.. one real bad.. but I am probably mostly back.. :D

again.. I will you well with your recovery.. :worship:
