Since there are so many newbies I thought an ice breaker topic might be good. Things that might not come up on this forum would be best.

1. I was arrested (not convicted) of grand theft. Don't try to steal those blinking don't walk signs you can go to jail for that!

2. I have run 10 marathons

3.I have three metal plates and 8 screws in my right wrist (wait that did come up on the forum)

Matt, great topic. We get to talk about ourselves. Although some of our interests are the same, we are all individuals and it's time to break out and tell a little of what makes us up as individuals.

Here we go:
I'm a working guy (until next July) and then, if things go well, I'll jump in to the "retirement/consultant mode". One of my main interests (aside from teardropping) is attending music festivals.
Although I like almost all music, I particularily like blues festivals. I started playing harmonica (blues harp) last year and have had a great time with it. Guitar is another pastime .

Sitting outside with a small fire in the fire ring, the faithful dog sitting near by allows me time to play my harp and guitar and totally relax.

I love snow skiing (as long as the body holds up) and I love camping. Old cars are another interest. It's really enjoyable to be different. I like my old Mustangs (65 & 66) and have a good time driving and tinkering on them.

When I think of my life , I see a diverse interest and a passion for learning and enjoying new things. I'm still a college student and in April (by golly) I'll graduate-finally.

Some of these things I get in to "all the way" while others are just a lifetime experiment.

I think there are many similarities within this group and some of my interests are also enjoyed by others in the teardrop world.

We are all different but we also overlap in many ways.

Quit school at 16 and graduated KU at 42. Worked in a cotton mill, a junk yard (briefly) a waitress, store clerk, as a sandblaster on a pipeline and finally as a sub teacher.

My favorite hobby's are quilting, fishing and cake decorating.(that came up)

Hmmm... I was raised in a family of home builders & engineers. So, naturally... I didn't want to do that for a living? :hammerhead:
I did get my contractors license at 22. But, I worked as a graphic designer/commercial artist and sometimes pro photographer for 20+ years. I renovated old houses on the side. In 1990 I sold out and went back to contracting & cabinet building. I also moved from a city of over a million to a podunk lil town of 6000.
Now, at 60... I only work when I want to. I'd rather build tears, ride motorcycles, go camping and do a little photography. :ilovecamp:

Holy Cow... A hundred posts! I'm in the bigtime now...
~ Brick
... I've done so much with so little for so long... Now I can do almost anything with nothing!

I was one of the youngest VW dealership service managers in the U.S.

The first real hiking trip I took was a solo trek over the Alps near Salzburg, Austria. 'Bout killed me, but I have one really amazing picture of Lake Konigsee.

I sang with opera diva Julia Migenes on a Christmas tour and TV special in Germany in 1980.

I am really much taller than I look.

My dog has magnetic hypno-rays that make people feed him food.

Okay, more than three, but you have to admit the last one is really amazing.
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just when you think a problem is solved, an uglier result replaces it.

1. Lucky enough to have my dream job...Wildlife Biologist (w/ a little hardwood forestry thrown in for variety)...I work mostly with frogs and salamanders these days, but I've also worked with black bear, gators, bats, sturgeon, gar, and an assortment of other critters...

2. Hobbies...VWs, geocaching, playing the didgeridu (not well), tenor/bari saxophone, stained glass, tiki carving...

3. No marathons for me...dislocated both kneecaps 4yrs ago, broke my L5 vertebrae 2 years ago, and gained 50+lbs since then...leisurely hiking, canoeing, and low-impact caving are more my speed these days, LOL!

1. Despite my small stature, I am probably the most well-endowed man in the Sunshine State, according to my wife. And she should know:

She's a former adult film star who has slept with THOUSANDS of men.

2. When I was a kid, I had a dog named Smokey who used to pee in my sister's room but never mine. Since my sister was older and bigger than me and always beat me up, I used to tell her that this meant Smokey loved me a lot more.

3. I hate the Puerto Rican woman who works on Saturday and Sunday at the Walgreens near my house.

No particular reason--I just hate her.
Here we go again!

1. I am slow -- graduated from college 30 years after I started.

2. Met my wife when we were 6. I stuck my tongue out at her.

3. I am way too broke to have anything to do with teardrops or this forum for that matter. But, I can't help myself.
