Work Place Brownie Points

Postby SkipperSue » Tue Dec 12, 2006 4:03 pm

We just had our staff Cristmas party here at work. Every year we have a couple of raffle drawings, you fill out a slip of paper when you come into the dining hall and put it in a box. Well I put $20.00 in and got 20 tickets. Every one grumbled because I bought so many (most put in only $1.00).
The first drawing is for wrapped presents and luck landed my way, a steam iron. :R
The second drawing was for the "pot" money, which came up to $85.00.
You guessed it, I won that one! :R :R
Yep, everyone started grumbling again, but I showed them. :R
I told the audience that I was going to draw again and I was going to split the money in half. :R
Hehe, I got my work place brownie points for a few months anyway. :D
I gave that clothes iron the the girl that gave me that ball python snake, extra brownie points can't ever hurt! :R :D

Whoo Hoo a Steam Iron. I would have never thought about giving one of those away.

Ira,

:tipsy: You're old enough to remember office Christmas parties in the days before political correctness, sexual harrassment and liquor liability. Offices would shut down around Noon and everyone got stinking drunk. Scandal and debauchery ruled the day.

Sadly those days are gone forever. :(
