Now THIS is the ultimate personal travel vehicle:
Unicat EX-70 HD

There are some very interesting packaging ideas in there; particularly the pop-up that protects the windows.

I guess that is one vehicle where you do not have to worry about heavy tongue weight.

How many gallons to the mile does it get?

Give or take 50 grand, what does it cost?

Since I cannot afford it, I ask.

Even though it looks like a garbage truck, I like it. My guess is a pricetag of 1/4mil

Edit:

I was kinda right, I found a used one going for 1/4mil Euros. Which converts to $330,000.

I guess that would negate the need for a TD

All fun aside, there are some good ideas there for teardrops... like the glass storage. And food storage... Heck, even Gage's pull out drawers are in there! ;)

Here's a couple of pics from the book Rolling Homes. I think I like these better than the $330,000 version

That one is is actually not on a Unimog, but rather a MAN. Unicat makes conversions, and adapts them for many vehicles, including Unimog. There are even versions for Fords and Internationals.

That's about right. Apply a couple Unimog decals, and you'll look the part! 8)
