It did make ya feel all fuzzy.

I think the music added a lot to it. I can't recall who the singer was, I say was because he has passed on but he was a Samoan living in Hawaii. Died very young as I recall. If anybody knows who the artist is please pass it on.

Len,

Here is the info on the artist. Great song. I have it on my iPod.

Israel Kamakawiwo'ole's 1993 CD "Facing Future" includes the medley "Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World" which has been heard in numerous movies, television shows and commercials.

Israel - better known as "Bruddah Iz" or "Iz" - who passed away in 1997, was far more than an entertainer. He was loved deeply by all the people of Hawaii. In a sense, he was a living hero in the Islands, and upon his death he was given the profound honor of lying in state in the capital rotunda in Honolulu so that his thousands of loyal fans could pay their loving last respects. Today, his legacy lives on through his music.

Night Cap - Thanks for sharing.

Exactly.. Not enough of that in this world..It sure gave a great feeling...
And what was the cost? Nothing but a little bit of your time..to make people smile. Ive never heard his music but I have to say its very nice to listen to... This song was familiar however the way it was done sure is appealing..

Night Cap:

That film reminds me of the way the 60's & early 70's were in San Francisco.

We were young and anything was possible.

This is so familiar with the vibe and the heart felt smiles all around.

Iz is a great musician, my wife and I have a few of his albums. During a trip to Hawaii a couple years ago, we found they play his music on the radio regularly.

Thanks for sharing the video. Does make you feel good

Here's a link to his albums, although sometimes you can find them at Boarder's and other locations.

Iz was indeed a great musician. The first time I heard that song was several years ago around this time of year during a commercial for some internet based toy company. If I remember correctly the ad had something to do with a firefly. You'll also hear it at the end of a great movie called Finding Forrester with Sean Connery.
I read something recently about Iz that I was previously unaware of, seems his height was 6'6". He was a very big man with an even bigger heart. As previously mentioned, he was a huge part of Hawaiian culture.

Wow my thoughts exactly

The people walked away with smiles like they really needed that. They probably talked and smiled about it the rest of the day.
