I think I would go west on 18 to 138 to 14 and then north to 58 and on down to Bakersfield through Tehachpi. It'll be quicker than going down 14 to the I-5 and then to Bakersfield via the Grapevine. Coming across 138 you'll also come within a mile of my place.
