Boston lead singer died yesterday

Brad Delp of Boston died yesterday at 55.

That's too bad they were always one of my favorite bands.

Definately a sad day in R&R. I last saw them at Hershey 3 years ago and it was an awesome show. IMO, their first album was one of the best recorded R&R of all times. AND, it was recorded in a dingy basement with junk recording gear. Tom Scholz is an absolute genius.

Rest in Peace Brad!

Went to 3 of their concerts at Alpine Valley...outdoor concerts...the last one was in a severe rain storm. Good Times! Wow that was a long time ago!

+1 on the first album being the best. The last one all the songs sounded the same. I think they did the last one just because of a contract dispute with the record company.

I saw Boston in Munich in 1978 or 79 and it was a great concert. I gave them a lot of listen time back then. Loved those power guitars and vocals.

It is always a loss when a good singer dies, and 55 is much, much too young.
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just when you think a problem is solved, an uglier result replaces it.

I just wish it had be another one of the Bee Gee's!

I played in a band a few years ago, with Johnny Greer , Johnnys Bro. (Billy Greer) was a member of Kansas at that time. in the mid-90's , Not sure what happened there. but life on the Road , Is ROUGH.... Billy has since went out on his own, now all his music sounds like Journey or somebody like that. I never met the singer , but I always liked Bostons sound. Life on the road has took a lot of the good Musicians. but there is nothing like doing what you love to do ALL your life.
