The annual space day for the public is coming up fast at PARI (Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute). They only open to the general public once a year. Sue and I went last year and it was really cool. Lots of stuff to see and do, a cookout too. I remember quite a few people here are into astronomy from some of the old posts about telescopes.

That looks very interesting... wish I lived closer so I could attend... I have a university near me that opens their observatory to the public on Wednesday nights and I go there once in a while to get a closer view of the sky.

A friend of mine has a large telescope. With it we could see the rings of Saturn. That's something I'll never forget.
