Global Incident Map uPdating with discriptions

News Incidents across the world in real time is just a click away~

I keep uP on current events but this map is real time and you can pick uP
information about ongoing issues with ease across the world.
I have only used this map for a few minutes and read of about 3 on going
nuclear material thefts. A ghost ship off Australia and I am ready to
consider Canada as a camping destination.

Do you think this map is a tool you would use in the future to get newsImage

Global Incident Map clicky

Instructions - How To Use The Map:

Mouse-Over Descriptions - Move your mouse over an incident Icon on the map and a short description of the event will appear. Click the Icon to be taken to the full incident description and a more precise satellite/map image.

ZOOM In and Out - Place your mouse pointer over the location you wish to zoom on and click the mouse twice rapidly - this will center the map on that location. Then use the zoom bar on the left side of the map to zoom in and out of that location.

Satellite/Map/Hybrid - In the upper right hand corner of the map you have the option of clicking on Map to just get the map background, Satellite to just get the satellite image background, or Hybrid to get both at the same time.

News Scroller:
Immediately below the map there is a scrolling list of the most recently added incidents - click an item of interest to get to the full incident description and links to related news items, as well as a more precise satellite/map image.

Event Types and Date Range - Below the Scrolling News Items there are two drop down boxes. You may elect to have the map display only certain kinds of incidents, and only in a certain date range if you like - simply click on the drop downs and make your selections and then click on Display Events and the map will reload with the incidents and date range you specified.

Move Map - Left click your mouse and hold it down, then move the mouse up or down, left or right and the map will move accordingly.

Refresh Incidents - This map automatically reloads every few minutes.

That's Trippy Tripp,
Setting there looking at that map, I couldn't help but think, "Now all they gotta do is have Satchmo singing "Wonderful World."
Pretty scary stuff...

:applause: Great map Steve. Are we gonna believe there is no terrorism in Canada, Mexico or South America? Perhaps it is the way the countries designate these crime.

BTW---come to Joplin.

I won't speak to the other two map locations you speak of but CANADA is  in my book ~
Seems like a safer place than most to be in this world.

OH MY GOD! THIS JUST IN:

[Beverage Daily] FRANCE - French wine militants attack supermarkets

"Militant winemakers have claimed responsibility for explosions and fires at several supermarkets in southern France, raising concerns of a return to violence in the region"

Thank God we don't have any builders from France here. But if we ever do, I am not responsible for my posts.

What is WRONG with these people?
Here we go again!

That looks like a 'Map of Paranoia' - a significant number of the markers seem to be for hoaxes.

But if you want to scare yourself, that will do, I guess.

We have a little terrorism up here. Sikh militants that blow planes out of the sky to prove their God is better than your God. First nation folks that are still pissed off, so they blockade railroads and such, occasionally take a potshot at a cop and generally play suppressed minority for the TV cameras. And of course we have a few eco warriors that spike the odd tree just to see if the rest of us will get our shorts in a knot. And don't forget the PETA folks that issue a press release just before thanksgiving and christmas saying they have contaminated all the butterball turkeys in every super market sea to shining sea.
Dangerous country we have here, red alert every day.
As to a map of worldwide "incidents" well Andrew covered that exactly!

Have a fearful day. JG

Well, those incidents are nothing compared to the week after Thanksgiving terror activity we have down here in South Florida:

That's when the tourists start arriving.

Your so right Andrew.

When Chad, Sudan and Egypt are not included then you know it is what is reported by the government not what is really going on.

Ira:

You must be talking about White ToP Terrorists~

You got it real tough down there in the swamp lands of Florida. When all
them white toPs come running away from the snows, eh? And John knows
that the Canadians come too.

Tell me Ira ... are the roads as safe when the white toPs come back for the winter?
You know the ones that can hardly see over the steering wheel, and get to
the grocery store by remembering turns cause their eyesight went about 4 years ago?

Your roads must get all clogged uP, Ira? Does the added people infusion 8)
into the trailer parks and condos put a stress on your life? heh heh
