Outfits For Different Activities

Postby Hamcan » Sat May 12, 2007 4:24 pm

I changed my avatar to better get in the proper spirit for the Internationl Hockey final between Canada and Finland on sunday. Classic Finn is a fan and posted a thread to cheer for his team. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to cheer for Canada.

This got me thinking about all the different outfits I have for various activities.

1. My hockey gear as shown in the avatar.
2. Geeky cycling gear, padded spandex shorts, helmet and shoes.
3. Cold water gear for the kayak.
4. Still have my drivers suit from when I had the race car.
5. Golf shoes and glove. [gave up the checker slacks and white belt. LOL]
5. Rain gear and waterproof hiking boots.
6. Cross country ski boots and clothes
7. Downhill ski boots, goggles and clothes.
8. Leathers and helmet for the motorcycle.
9. Black suit for funerals.
10. Tan suit for weddings.
11. Tee Shirt, sandals and wrangler cutoffs for beer drinking on a hot day.
12. Long shirt, wranglers and boots for beer drinking on a cool day.

I think I missed a bunch but you get the picture............

Anyone else have all these outfits clogging up their closet? My girlfriend has even more than I do. She does a lot of girl stuff like yoga and aerobics plus all the stuff on my list. If we ever combine our lives [get married] I'll have to build one mighty big closet.

Regards, JG :)

Well, yeah... girl cyclists DO wear them too. I used to wear them as well
in my long distance cycling days (not a pretty picture).

Yup, Podunkfla is right. Padded spandex is gender neutral. We all have tender bits to protect.
If its good enough for Lance Armstrong then its good enough for me.

Good point on the birthday suit Finn, there is one activity that is suitable for that, I won't name it but maybe Ira will chime in, he is not always as discrete as some of us.
