Jeez I love IKEA...
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate fine wood working, but there's just something about functional products that can be shipped in a flat box and assembled from a cartoon.

I also got a kick out of Heiki's comment about "Swedish Hell". Their stores (and parking lots) are zoos ... :CC

I like Ikea too. Our store here should open this summer. I can see the sign from my house.

Ours has been open since before Christmas. I have yet to make it down there. It's only about 10miles from my house.

Yet another appearance on this forum of a (Swedish, of course) SMV trailer.

What's interesting is the light frame/tongue this trailer uses, but backed up with two diagonal braces to the trailer body.

IKEA stands for I Kant Even Assemble! If you do get by there they have these great nesting steel bowls, the wisk that they have is the absolute best thing ever invented, and last the wooden spatula set for less than a buck great for dutch oven cooking I buy 5 sets at a time, they do wear out but better than melting plastic stuff.

We don't have any down here, but I remember hearing some rumor a long time ago that they were going to open a huge one not too far from me.

Wonder if that web site lists any upcoming openings.

I used to have an orange 1600......though I think that's a 2002 in the ad?

Ahh...the memories.

THANKS!!!

I had heard about the Sunrise one a long time ago, but never saw it materialize. It must be near/in the Sawgrass Mills, which is HUGE.

Thanks for the link--gonna check it now!
