All you Blues fans in the midwest should look into the Madison (IN) "Ribber Fest" coming up in August. :applause:

It's a great time with top name Blues bands, hot air balloon races and BBQ cook offs on a State level.

Camping is available at Clifty Falls State Park (Madison) and , if you're lucky, the city camp ground might still have some sites.

It's been a tradition with me for the last six years and I look forward to it every time.

Jeff, Darn shame about the tranny  , but what better place to break down. Clifty Falls is a really nice park and the city camp ground is right on the river. What a super spot to watch the Madison Regatta. It's very hard to get a site if booked late but it's worth the effort.

The summer festivals and events all year round are very well organized and tons of fun.

I'd love to move to Madison and be closer to the hills and river. I'm about 3 1/2 hours north but it's still a two day venture to enjoy the town.

The "Ribberfest" is one of the best blues/balloon/BBQ events I've seen so far. :thumbsup:Image

I never liked the blues.

And in the words of Steve Martin from "The Jerk":

"Those songs are too DEPRESSING!"

Boo hoo...

Now you gave me the blues.

I enjoy it while waiting for my barbecue takeout, but that's about it. And that's only because the owners are southern blacks and THEY seem to enjoy it.

YES! YES! YES!

And I just said that to my wife about what we're going to do later tonight, but she doesn't care.

At age 50, all of my skils have diminished, with the exception of begging.

Ira, I'll be 62 in July and begging still works. Don't give up or you'll get the "blues" :(
