women talk more than men

Ok, this will be fun. Saw an article:

They did a little study, says that women and men speak about the same amount of words every day. Men utter on average 15,669 vs 16,215 for the gals. They considered this a "statistical dead heat". But, it got me to thinking ( I know ladies a dangerous prospect for a man) that is 546 more words a day for the ladies. so extrapolated over year, the average woman has spoke 199,260 more words than the average man. If they are together for 50 years, get this, the difference is 9,964,500. (yes almost 10 Million!)

So if you are to take that number and divide it by how man words the average man talks, in 50 years the woman has to not say a word for 1.7 years for the man to catch up!

What would the total be if they excluded "yes dear"?

Not to say there aren't exceptions, but I would have to say that is true from the time they learned to talk around 2 years old. Girls tend to have better verbal skills than boys. I raised one of each.

Chip, I agree.. If they stopped talking, I'd have to start thinking more about what to say.... listening is easy.... takes no brains at all... except when not to talk.. (easier said than done/g/).

Well after 49 years with the same wife I know woman talk much more than a man! She can talk for 10 minuts and all I ever say is Yes Dear!!
