Wish me luck--Miami Metrozoo Today and HOT!!!

Postby Ira » Thu Jul 19, 2007 7:50 am

Every now and then, you gotta say the heck with work and call in for a "mental health day"--REGARDLESS of the pile in your in-box.

So even though we're talking mid 90s today…miles of walking…and possible heat stroke…we're heading down to the zoo in Miami.

(Good thing I speak Spanish or else they would give me a turkey wrap when I actually ordered a Budweiser!!!)

Wish me luck, and if I don't survive the day, it's been nice knowing most of you.
Here we go again!

have a great day. I love the zoo. I gave up the "in box" for mental health days EVERY DAY. Best thing I ever did. Love retirement. You would think that I would have more time to get to the zoo but......so much to do and so little time. how did I manage with a 40 hr week job????????
anyway have fun. use sun screen

As long as they serve Bud there, you'll be fine.

Ira,
When you get to the chimp display, take a moment and remember a friend of mine you've never met...
Our little local zoo lost a dear friend recently... Bill the Chimp.
I've known him all my life, was bought from a traveling circus that came through town back in 1957 from monies raised by local school kids.
He was one of the oldest known chimps in the world was well over 60 yr's old.

Ira, Tell your boss the Dr said you have Anal Glaucoma.

In other words, you just don't see your A$$ coming into work.

Have Fun at the ZOO.

Have fun Ira...I went yesterday! We have a season pass and go at least every other week, but I don't have that work thing hanging over my head! :)

Every once in awhile we go to the Milwaukee Zoo...it has better animals....the ones in Green Bay are old and a little mangy.

Well, I survived:

$5.50 for a Bud.

But every bone in my body is hurting today.

Not from the Bud--from the walking.

$6.00 for parking.

$35.00 for zoo admission.

$55.50 for over priced Bud.

Spending time with the family....
PRICELESS!
