Problem in central MO

Postby Rich S » Sun Jul 22, 2007 4:08 pm

My wife and our granddaughter went to go swimming today in the lake were we live. To our suprise it was full of illeagle aliens. Hundreds of them.
Candian Geese. I asked if she was sure if they were Candain and she said they all honked in a French accent.
It is bad enough that the Armadillios have stole all the jobs from the local Possums. I just do not know what is next.
Is this going on anywere else? We are seeing wildlife now that we never seen in our lifetime. Bears, armadillios, strange birds, and a few drunk hillbillies. I think I may need to get Al Gore on this. I am sure he can figure it out.

Rich,
even alien armadillos have a purpose, they make good road kill for the buzzards that will soon multiply by the thousands to eat them all..and a word of warning..a pack of feeding buzzards will wait till the absolute last minute to fly off a carcass and if your too close, they will clip the mirrors off your vehicle ..
ask me how I know.. :(

I know all about the Buzzards. I hit one last year. He was having dinner on a dead coon. Almost knocked me off the road. Bent the front bumper and broke a headlight.

I worked on a military base for 13 years, Canadian Geese showed up after about 5 years and they quickly figured out that nobody was going to mess with them. They now live there nearly year round and pretty much do whatever they want

Umm, I'm pretty sure I can vouch for the 'few drunk hillbillies,' especially if you're anywhere near the Merimec River. They're family members and quite harmless.
When I die, I want to go quietly in my sleep, like my grandfather. Not kicking and screaming like the passengers in his car.

What we need is a tall fence and a bunch of Border Collies! Honking in French indeed. If they are going to fly into Merica, they need to learn how to honk in Merican!
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just when you think a problem is solved, an uglier result replaces it.
