Anybody else heading going out to Sturgis, SD for bike week? I know Junkman will be there, but he is no fun...he just works!

PapaJ is supposed to be there according to an earlier post.
I'm sure we will stop by at some point as we will be by Ellsworth Air Force Base. Kind of funny my husband's 2 brothers are the ones with the bikes, but they won't be there. Guess we could get them a souvenir to make them feel good. :envious:

Unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to make Sturgis this year, and will start planning for next year.

To make a long story short, when I had to buy a new truck earlier in the summer, I got a serious case of "myfundzerlow" and therefore the trip had to be cancelled. :(

On a brighter note, I will be joining the gathering at Fort Clinch next weekend and I am really looking forward to that.

For those of you making the trip to Sturgis, drive safe and have a great time, and if you would be so kind, pop a cold one for me. :guzzle:

15 hours a day, for 10 days, starting next Thursday

Hope these 100+ degree days cool off before the rally :?

I have to agree on the temp thing....I think it is suppose to be a 109 today. If it doesn't cool off soon it maybe the first time I missed it since 1995. That is just way too hot....especially if you have to be any where by a pizza oven.

Kid Rock playing this year?

Hopefully I will get a chance to meet you out there next year.

After the kickstand is down for the night I will pop a bunch of cold ones for you!

Do we have a updated weather report? I will be leaving Wednesday at noonish and there sometime Thursday morning! I hope it is cooling down.

I guess it could be worse...it could be a 100 out and then be standing by a pizza oven. I don't remember seeing any air conditioning there for you Junkman.

Sure, we have air conditioning, 2 big windows in the front, a couple of attic fans, and a door out back

I usually loose betwen 10-15 pounds each year during the rally, between the heat, the long hours, and not having time to eat. Anyone need a quick weight loss program

Looks like it's supposed to be in the 90's with a chance of afternoon thunderstorms thru Sunday. I wouldn't worry about the thunderstorms, if they materialize, they won't last long, but may make it muggy out. Haven't heard what next weeks forcast is yet.

Have a safe ride out, and stop by and say Hi if you get to the Chip.
