Buck Rogers trailer? - on ebay

Buck Rogers trailer?
It's not a TTT... but it would be a real head turner restored. I wonder what this all aluminum futuristic trailer will go for?
I sure like the design and I bet they didn't make very many of them.

That is wayyyy cool! A lot like Doug's Rocketeer on steriods. :?

Of course Gage has to show off by not only having a picture of one, but a picture of his trailer by one!!

I hope that someone snaps it up with an eye towards restoring it. It would be a shame for it not to be preserved.

A friend of mine who restores trailers has one. All he could see of it across a fence was the Buck Rodgers top line. It took a while but he was able to buy it. He was offered more for the little license plate holder than he paid for the entire trailer. He has not had time to work on it but aluminum keeps well, esp in the desert where he lives. Compared to the one on e-bay, his is in terrible shape but it has not water damage.

Neat trailer. I was scanning through the pictures on ebay and found this one.

Who has a guess of how that headboard works? It's shaped like a roll-top but I can't see any sections to it for it to roll back. So, if it's a lift up storage unit how does it go up with the nightstand counter there. Or do you think there is just enough clearance?

I don't think it's a "Roll-Top" or tambour door. I think it just flips up, kinda like the hatch on the back of our tears.

Or it slides up and back (inside the top) like an old breadbox?

Yeah, other than it being kinda grungy, it didn't seem special to me? Did I miss something?

Ah, I should have been more specific. However, the kitchen sink had that unique faucet that looks like a pencil sharpener. I meant the sink for bathing, at least that's what I think it is for. It has a round mirror above it and the mirror is mounted on a board that I believe when closed covers the unit.

I could be wrong but that's kinda what it looked like to me.

Here's the pic.

Also, I'm willing to bet that the porta potty fit underneath there.

It caught my eye because we're putting in a bowl and pitcher for the sink in the Inkwell. Of course, we can't use a real antique because it's ceramic so I've been looking for something made out of strong plastic. My neighbor had an old planter in his yard and it was just the right size. I fiberglassed the holes up. Next I'll fiberglass the bottom so that it is smooth and won't leave any yucky grim in there from previous washing of the dishes.

I want to set it half way into the cabinet, Paul wanted to set it all the way down with just the rim above the counter.

If I had seen this design before we built our cabinet, I would probably have had a lift top deal. I like it and it gives you a bigger mirror too. Ah but maybe on the next build...

I think Doug's' grampa is the designer of that little gem of a trailer..it must run in the family.
