I've seen it enough times.

I've also seen two Solar Eclipses. On in New Jersey as a kid, and purely by chance, I was in Spain a couple years ago when one happened.

It's supposed to be 4:30 AM here in Missouri. I normally get up at 4:00 so I will probably go out and take a look.

I would love to see the eclipse, but I erased those numbers from my clock face. Much too early for conscious activity.
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just when you think a problem is solved, an uglier result replaces it.

Just caught the last third of the shadow while enjoying a fresh roasted cup of Ethiopian Yirgacheffe

I'm an early riser. Was up at 4:30 by my own choice.

Believe I'm due another cup of coffee :coffee:

It's just after 4:00 AM here on the West Coast and it's blood red, nearly fully eclipsed... Pretty wicked looking.
Another 35 minutes until it's fully eclipsed.
Saw a full eclipse when I was a kid, but don't remember the blood red part.
A rare treat here in the redwoods as skies are more often fogged over than clear like this...

Welp,
The full eclipse happened a short while ago...
It was pretty awesome when fully eclipsed... The center was black with a ring of blood red around it.
I think the Indians call that "Two Moons"...
Right now there's a bright white crescent forming on the left side... Looks more like the eclipse I saw when I was a kid.
My cat sure has been acting different this past week... Wonder if this had anything to do with it???
(Probably not, most likely it was the flea treatment to the back of the neck...)

I feel bad for you guys, that's usually my story here on the Northcoast...
I talked to Kevin about this last night and told him it would most likey be clear here, but he told me that he'd be snoring at this time...

When I left for work the moon was just starting to come out of the shadow. Pretty cool.
