I'm gonna be a rich 'un

I know most of us have received these letters before, but I haven't received this particular one, and reading the end made me chuckle:

"I am Mrs.Dean Herrin ,the wife of Mr.Sam Herrin, both of us,are citizens of the United states of America. my husband worked with the Chevron/Texaco in Russia for twenty years before he died in the year 2003.We were married for ten years without a child. My Husband died after a brief illness that lasted for only four days. When my late husband was alive he deposited the sum of(7.500,000) (Seven Million Five Hunderd thousand Pounds ) with a Bank in london . Presently, this money is still with the Bank and the management just wrote me as the beneficiary that our account has been DORMANT and if I, as the beneficiary of the funds, do not re-activate the account; the funds will be CONFISCATED or I rather issue a letter of authorization to somebody to receive it on my behalf as I can not come over. Presently,I'm in a hospital in Russia where I have been under going treatment for esophageal cancer.I beg you in the name of God to help me Stand in as the beneficiary and collect the Funds from the Bank. i want a person that is God fearing
who will use this money to fund Charity organisation.25% of the money will be given to you and 80% for the charty organisations.

Best Regard.

Mrs Dean Herrin"

You would think they would at least check their math! But as soon as I receive my 25%, I am going to organize a party and you are all invited!

I wonder if any of these are started by somebody trying to get a laugh? I mean some of the emails are out of this world.

The problem is most of them are written by people that understand very little English. Most are copied from other stuff they find written elsewhere or translated on Bablefish. The majority of these fools are from South Africa or that general vicinity. They don't speak enough of the language not to get scammed themselves. All they want is an easy buck, and 20 or 50 bucks makes them as happy as a couple of thousand would make you or I. That's why they keep doing it.

No, just smaller. See the post above. I am sending my $100 international money order to Father O'Malley in care of Mr. Forsen. In fact, I am making it out for more since it is a post-dated, third-party, out of state money order drawn on depository funds I have earmaked with the Bank of Nigeria. You just have to confirm with the Nigerian finance minister who has assured me of the funds they are holding in an account for me, pending receipt of the funds that Father O'Malley will be sending me.

As soon as I get my funds and contact the widow and give her my thanks, the party is on . . .

I bet I end up in a higher tax bracket next year. Anyone familiar with setting up and offshore trust to escape unconstitutional "income" taxes?

i like how 80% and 25% can equal 100% in africa
it still amazes me that these people cant figure out how to type the simplest things not to mention the many spelling mistakes
you would think they could get 1 american guy in on it to write copy for them
if your going to try and scam me at least put some effort into it

They must work on the basis that if you think 80% and 25% equal 100% :? then you will be a suitable victim.

Tony if you are Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers thats great but I think if you believe in this you must have a few marbles missing.

But I am sure that you are just kidding around,But it is a shame that so many people fall for these scams.
If it sounds to good to be true it is 99.9% that it is not true, that leaves .1% & .1% is probably high.

Buy the way
99.9%
+ .1%
---------
=100.%

It is nice to dream though,
Everytime I walk by a MEGABUCKS machine I think boy what I could do with all of that :money: MILLIONS :money: So I'll spend about $> $20 a week I have hit a couple of $100's a couple times but that is evan rare
But I do know that my chances of hitting the jackpot is about 1 in 25 million.

:) Dreams are good.
