It's scary when you start making the same noises as your coffee maker.

I didn't have the Evil Knievel one. I had the knock off repackaged "Team America" motorcycle.

Yep, I just saw the news on the ESPN crawler......... man, I remember watching him on ABC's Wide World of Sports trying to jump the Grand Canyon in his rocket car and also smashing into the wall at the Vegas casino. I also remember the day after each of his jumps all the boys in the neighborhood were building ramps out of plywood and cinderblocks and seeing who had the stones to make "The Big Jump"............. whatever that entailed

There'll not be another one like him................

I remember when he was going to jump the Snake River Canyon and I realized he was certifibly insane. Plus I don't know how he lived through the jump over the fountain at Caesar's Palace. But he was definitely one of a kind, the first in many creative bike stunts and for that reason, he will be missed.

I watched him jump two different times. The first time was at Firebird Raceway in Emmett, Idaho. Still have his autograph. It says, "Happy Landings Evel Knievel"

That was a memorable night for a 12 yeal old boy.
