I am working on the garage so it will be clean enough for the "Most out of control shop" next year.

We also need to figure out a permanant place for the heater. I didn't anticipate the need before........ Most suggestion welcome. 8)

I hadn't planned on "working" on it but it's been parked outside and I've been meaning to take it and park it at my friends carport for the winter.
Well, winter dumped on us the day I got back from the Ray Roberts campout and a week of thick ice, then a day or so of a little snow ... but I still will likely take it over there till March.

Opened up the hatch the other day and my galley floor got some water under the tile... I know how it happened, but the son's out today so I think I might pull it out into the sun, open up and take off the tile and get it to start drying out... don't know ....

I've got at least 50 other things I should do today....

:( I told Miriam, let's wait until temps get back in the 60's to clean our garage, and I can walk again. Right now the temp is 28 F and the wind chill is 17 F. I've been laying on the bed, watching the classic car auction on Speed Week.

Besides, I can't work on my TD, until I buy another trailer. Unfortunately right now, all my money is tied up in debt.

Does brushing off the snow accumulation and checking the interior/dryness status count?

Can't 'work' on it...it's 34 degrees and tomorrow will be dipping down to around 8 degrees for three more days of cold and snow.

think garage...think garage...think garage

I remember last winter getting out to the garage every day to do something to help complete my td build. Everything was completed in the early spring of 07 and I had a blast over the summer with it.

Now I just go out, open the garage door, peek at the teardrop and then go back inside where it's nice and toasty.

Here's to everybody planning, building or admiring their td today! And enjoy the start of a new year too!

72 F outside today so I'm doing some painting.

Postby Esteban » Tue Jan 01, 2008 5:04 pm

I am, kinda, it's 72F outside on this first day of 2008 in San Luis Obispo, CA. A good day to paint the plywood for the floor of my HF utility trailer - my new "pick up truck" so I can get supplies for building the teardrop. Skies were clear and blue this morning, now it's clouding up a little. The weather.com 10 day forecast says it may get down to a 53F, daytime temp, in a few days. Life's good.

Beginning to think about doing a SLO Gathering 2.0, and need to git er done.

Ok, when I worked on boats we used to build huts made out of firring strips and heavy clear plastic, house shaped with matching door. Had old boat trailer with old oilburner furnace and a old boat fuel tank, plug it in pipe it in and put a thermostat in, just like New York, only better! so where there is a will there is a way  happy building all
