I have some friends who went there a while ago and their advice would be: do not plan on sleeping that night at all - apparently the partying goes on in the camp site all through the 24 hours.

These guys' visit sounded good as the were travelling with some replica Jaguar D types when Jaguar first went back to racing at Le Mans and they were able to travel in convoy on the autoroute at 130-150mph (200-240km/hr). Just for that weekend the police routiere made it very obvious that old Jaguars were not subject to speeding laws - sometimes the police would turn round and look away from the road as they went past!

Now that's what motor racing is all about as far as I'm concerned. Love to be a par of that once in my life. Have fun!

Andrew,

You're right about the sleeping thing. I am sleeping at a French Friend some 35 Km away from the circuit. So, there will be no noise at all.

And you're also right about the speeds on the autoroute. The police is looking an other way when you pass by very quickly. For about 3 years ago, I had a tuned Volvo 940 estate, topspeed 265/ hour, and at one time I had a little racegame with a guy in a Ferrari Enzo. I lost, for sure, but it was very exiting, the cops drove in a Renault Safrane and where no able to follow us. I have seen the most beautyful cars when going home. What you think about a MacLaren, a Maybach with an acceleration like a F16 and a yellow car with rounded backlights, superfast! exiting and this year my oldest daughter is coming with me. I know for sure I'm gonna have the time of my life.
As you can see on the website the prices are payeble, not like F1 racing prices.
