My Adjustable Bench Is Finished

Here's some photos of the completed bench.
I can set it at 34", 33", 25", 18 1/4", & 13".
My table saw is at 34", I like to work at 33" & the top of my TD chassis is 18" :thinking: .
The top is 2 layers of 3/4" plywood with a 2"x4" apron and measures 48" x 99".
I really had to beef it up at the area where the jack sits.
If I were to build it again I'd do the whole well/jack area with 1/4" welded solid steel
so that the base corners (4"x4"'s) wouldn't tweak up slightly like in the photos.
I should get many years of service out of this bench and not have to struggle trying to lift heavy objects on & off it. :D Danny

Thanks, Steve F, Steve T, Victor, Tony J, Bill, & Sam. I noticed it would be easy to get a hose or chord trapped in the mechanism and didn't want any sparks or blown hoses. It's going to take some getting use to a bench I can't store items under. I'm going to put my old bench, that's built like a rock, out on the black top under a tarp until I'm sure the new bench preforms to my satisfaction.
The new one makes my shop look cleaner :lol: Danny

Jack, Thanks, the original plans were for lifting a full sized motorcycle so I'm guessing 350 - 500#. I've made a few modifications. Danny
