hello all i am going to get a new pet tomorrow a pig and i am going to name him Hamlet. what do you think? am i nuts.

actually they are very good pets but don't think that just because it is a potbelly that it will stay small they still get pretty big. if you get a boar make sure to get it neutered as they can get ornery. They can be litter box trained if this is to be an inside pet. here are mine from last summer

i raise them for a different reason though

Shame on you guys. :lol:

We had a teacher with a potbelly and he was great. Problem is he learned too much and she was forever getting him out of something. Lots of fun and a loving companion she thought.

Oh and they love pizza :shock:

My mother and her sister had a pet pig when they were kids. Claimed they trained it to pull them in a pony sulkey, and it carried them all over town, using only verbal commands. They said it was smarter than a dog or a horse, and much easier to train.
