The U.S. Government funded the same type of study of methane from cows, both front and rear, probably 20 years ago. This was research to harness the energy if I remember correctly.

Don't be too hasty a laughing this off. Seems like I saw a show where scientist were studying the amount of methane released into the atmosphere by cows and messing with the ozone causing the global warming yadah, yadah, yadah. The idea was to determine how much TAXES governments would levy on each cow to compensate them for the expense of cleaning up atmosphere. They've already taxed everyones ass so guess they'll be coming back for your cow.

I knew about the US study (5 million) on cow farts and now they want the burps too.

The goal is for the global warming people to tax each country according to how much methane is in the atmosphere based on it's domestic animals and they will estimate the methane from wild life.

Believe it or not it was never to be used as a fuel source as other countries do. For instance Bangladesh has thriving individual businesses that produce gas for neighbors and make a living. They use the chicken stuff. From poverty to energy provider.

Betty I think we should get money to research the positive effects of people using teardrops as a way to prevent over crowding in hotels and reduce the amount of human waste in citys.

Don't laugh too early. There's a dairy in California's central valley that is completely powered by captured methane that is burned very cleanly in generators.

Go Miriam! I think that is a great idea. I mean it even makes sense, unlike some of the government ideas.
