New toy for the trailer

Am always looking for 30s and 40s art deco looking stuff for my teardrop. Found this flashlight in Arkansas City Ks. that is real neat. It has Genesy Electric Lantern Co. K.C.Mo. stamped on it. New bulb & battery & it works great. ( You have to go to my album to see it.)
The impossable just takes longer & cost more.

It looks great. How well does it work? Does it work good or is it a true flashlight?

Its an OLD light. It shines in little circles the way old flashlights do. Maybe 10 ft. in front of you is as far as you can see. I just bought it because it is neat looking & then couldnt resist putting a new bulb & battery in to see if it worked. I spent more on the battery than on the flashlight. Wont never use it, its just neat.

Why not use it? Obviously you can get parts to make it operate. I have yet to install a 12v system in my TD because it seems over kill to light a light. Your flashlight is a great source of light and can provide lighting needs for a galley or a cabin.

I think it is cool. :applause:

Put a LED conversion bulb in it. Mix the old with the new.
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just when you think a problem is solved, an uglier result replaces it.

Real neat looking flashlight. I love old stuff. Should look good in your TD.

I'll bet your one of a very small percentage of people who have a flashlight that was made in America.
