got a new computer... need help with my favorites...

Postby packerz4 » Mon Mar 10, 2008 12:01 am

hello,

I bought a new laptop. I have a ba-zillion websites saved in my old laptop's "favorites"... you know the little bar on the left in Internet Explorer?

Well, I'm wondering if there is an easy way to save all of them, and transfer them to my new computer... or do I have to do them one by one?

I hope what I'm asking makes sense. Any advice you can give is much appreciated!

TK

Copy the favorites folder to a disk or thumb drive.

C:/ drive,
Documents and settings
your profile,
you see it, it looks like a star

if not there, do a search from the start menu

then copy it to your new computer over the save folder in your new profile.

Use foxmarks... it's the easiest solution yet!!! Of course, you'll want to switch over to firefox.

That foxmarks is cool. Now I'll have to try it out when I get to BR and see if it syncs like it's supposed to. Really miss my bookmarks when I.m on the 'wrong" computer.

That's a great tip.
