Rick, I'm just not that secure in my manliness to put on high heels..that and the fact that if a woman has size 15 heels on, she's a sasquatch.

 A walk without donations will not pay the counselors or the utilities. So for all those who walk  and those who :money: shell it out :applause: :applause: :applause:

It does take money and those who don't have marches can always give to their local shelters. :)

Give to your local charities, give to United Way, Give to your churchs ,But give of your time, talents and money Help those that are unable to help themselves and do it with a glad heart and no expectation of return. Don't give because you have to, give because you want to. And to quote Sean Connery "So endeth the lesson" ;)

Kudos to you Rick!
Anybody can write a check to a charity. The real heros are the ones who roll up there sleeves (or don their high heels) and get in there and give their time and talents.
You're my hero today!

Correct!
(I couldn't do it. I'd fall flat on my face.)
Thanks Rick!

walk a mile in her shoes

Postby kayaklover » Mon Apr 21, 2008 10:12 pm

I am proud to say that Rick will be walking this weekend in my daughters honor, wearing her baby shoes around his neck.
She was the victim of a serial rapist and has been going through the trial process for well over a year now. Please remember to support him in his walk. It was so nice for us to have a crisis line available for us when we made that first phone call. Lets make sure that help is there for others in an emergency like this.
Thank you Rick, this means a lot to us.
