Kira Kashie Brooks had a dream: To become Miss USA. Alas, she couldn't afford the pageant entry fees so she took matters into her own hands and committed grand theft. An article from the Miami Herald explains how Ms. Brooks was caught using her employer's credit card for the $1,500 entry fee and an additional $5,000 worth of beauty products. She pled no contest and was sentenced to three years' probation. Pretty lenient considering the employer she ripped off was the Coral Springs Police Department.

Whole story here....

Must be something in the water there!!!

I believe he is on hiatus for a while, had PC problems and decided to take a break.

It's just that he has given me some good advice in the past and I keep an eye out for his replies. They are almost always educational.

I just talked to Madjack on Thurs. night...he's alive and well, saving his $$ to get a new laptop. He's tired of clowning around with his old one and decided not to repair it. Says he is also doing some work on a tear. I think he is also enjoying a break from all the time he was on the computer. Doug

One thing about being on a forum like this. All you guys and dolls are friends, but virtual friends. I've never met you, don't know where you live, don't know your address or phone #. If you decide to leave or stop posting for any reason without telling us, we have no way of knowing if you are allright,or if you suddenly got sick, or died in an accident. Chances are no one in your famiy will think of going online to tell us, or that they know your moniker and password, or that we would even care.
So when someone dissappears from the forum we are all left wondering.
And to tell the truth it does leave a little hole in my life, because I've lost a friend and will never know what happened.I think I'll rectify that in my case and tell my wife to post if anything should happen to me.

Anyway, if one of you happen to have Ira's snailmail address, can you send it to me? Maybe something did happen to him and his wife wouldn't think of going on line to tell a bunch of strangers.

John, I know what you mean. Since I have terminal cancer, I told my wife to be sure to post on here ( I hope she can figure it out ), because I sure love this web site and all you guys and gals. I do spend a lot of time here. I get so bored doing nothing, with the chemo I tire very easy, so I spend my time here.
Just can't wait to get well ( I hope ) so I could build my teardrop and go camping, ( got cabin fever so baaddd!!!)
Arthur,

Arthur, there is no such thing as terminal cancer. There is just some that you have to fight harder. :)

You are right John and my children know how much you all mean to me. If Mike is unable they will make sure to send in the tearjerker. :R 8) ;) Pun intended. We sure miss all those who choose to move on.

That said, we have a whole pack of wonderful newbies who have lots of room to speak and make wonderful Teardrops for us to see and share. Image
