For those with even a curious interest in Astronomy, keep next Saturday, May 10 free.
May 10 this year is International Astronomy Day and astronomy clubs all across the US and Canada and around the world for that matter, will be hosting special events to introduce the general public to the beauty of our Universe and our night sky.
Just go to your favorite search engine and search for "Astronomy Clubs"
there will be several different lists come up...pick your state or province
and then look for a club located near you.
You can also search for Astronomy Day 2008, the Astronomical Society of the Pacific, will have a list of several of the clubs participating this year.
Now if you happen to be in S. Cal you could join me and the Riverside Astronomical Society at one of two locations in the Riverside area
1) in front of the Barnes and Noble bookstore at the Galleria at Tyler
91 fwy at Tyler Ave
2) in front of the Borders bookstore at the Riverside Plaza, three blocks west of the 91 fwy on Central Ave.
Now at least keep looking up, from around the campfire or through a telescope.
