I don't follow Indy, but I go to the Brick Yard 400 every year.
The thing that makes me mad is the race that is going on right now is called the Indy 500 (sponsered by Go Daddy) They don't call it The Go Daddy 500, because that would be just plain stupid.
Forever the race I go to used to be called The Brickyard 400, but now they call it The Allstate 400 at the Brickyard. Thats just stupid! Name it the way they name the Indy 500.
But sorry for digressing from the topic...
My brother watches Indy and he wants Danica to win.
Edit: Now he said he wanted Marco Andretti.

Well this year's Indy 500 goes down as another prime example of American racing -- crashes and yellow flags in abundance.

We do love our full-contact sports here, and auto racing is no exception.

Danica is actually a decent driver in road racing, but nobody who puts being famous first goes into racing where the cars turn in both directions and drivers don't make a habit out of hitting each other.

But, crashes make good TV for people who like that kind of thing -- which seems to be a lot of people here.

Oh, well, it's only a few more weeks until the 24 hours of Lemans -- and the Nascar Channel (AKA Speed Channel) actually shows most of that.

Nice to look at as long as she doesn't speak. I hated watching Powerblock when she was on it. I don't know why but her voice grates on me.

I'm not a fan of hers. Every thing has to be full of drama and everyone / thing is against her. :? It just gets tiresome to listen to how every other driver hates her and every rule is put in place to make sure she loses.

I agree she's good looking but I see her all the time at my work and she treats my coworkers like dirt and has a very filthy mouth. We have alot of famous and rich people going thru our airport and I have to say that 70 % of them are very nice and thoughtfull and kind. But the rest are just plain mean.

What... There was another race on too yaa know.
I'm surprised Jeff hasn't busted my chops to remind me that my guy was leading and blew a tire with two laps to go.
Kevin was very nice and recorded both races for me, because I had to work on getting caught up on schoolwork at the shop.
Started watching them last night, but had to shut off the Coke 600 late last.. er early this morning with 100 laps left. Watched the rest of it later this morning after I got up.
I'm supposed to go back to the shop and work on more schoolwork today but, Uncle Joe is movin' kinda slow at the Junction...Know what I mean?

Maybe that is why I hate listening to her talk, it always sounds like she has a chip on her shoulder. The, "I'm a woman so I have something to prove." chip. It even shows when she is doing an interview. Who cares if you have something to prove, if you win races it will shut the nay-sayers up.

Dean let me sum up the last 100 laps for you... they made 200 left turns and one guy won by a nose. Just watch these things in 4X speed if there is a crash when they play it back in slow motion it will look like normal speed in your hyperviewing mode. 8) You know I kid..... good luck with the schoolwork we are all counting on you!

You're right she is a "feisty" girl. In her position, she has to be a little more agressive to keep pace.
If I was in her place I'd be the same way. She is struggling against a big challenge.
Most traditional race fans and guys in general don't think she has any place in a "guys" sport. Truth is; she pretty good (for a girl).
