Posting Pics into gallery

Postby Walt M » Thu Jun 19, 2008 9:21 pm

I've attempted to post my first pics into my gallery. I don't know how they can be enlarged when you want to view the thumbnail  . Thanks in advance for all the help. Walt

Walt,

You did pretty good, the size picture that works best on the forum is 640 X 480. The gallery will automatically make thumbnails of each picture you post.

Walt, if you use the program that resized your pics to the small size to resize them to 640x480, then just post 'em to your gallery...if you need a neat little program to resize your photos, goto http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/down ... rtoys.mspx and scroll down to image resizer...it will add "right click" to resize functionality to your mouse...it will even do batch resizing.....

All that worked fine. I just thought if you clicked on the thumbnail the picture should enlarge for better viewing. but my postings don't enlarge. :(

Mine enlarge fine when I click on the thumbnail. I wonder what you are doing differently?

I figured that out, I just want to know if I can post a file of photos instead of doing them one at a time...that's a little labor intensive.....

...all you have todo is (while logged on) click the "album" button in the index at the top of the page...then scroll down to "your personal album" click onit and upload pics...unfortunately, you will havvvta upload the pics one at a time...as stated above, pics, resized to 640x480 work best (and saved at 72dpi)...you can also put a link to your Picassa pics in your signature, available to you in your profile(also in the top index)

RD, after you paste the URL to the pic, highlight the URL and click the "IMG" button in the index right above the text box and the proper coding will be installed...the [img]and[/img] tags havvta be in front and behind the pasted url for the pic to show up in your message.........it should end up looking like this...[img]pastedurl[/img]
