need help with freon

I have an old coca cola cooler that needs a compressor. It uses freon 12.
Can I replace it with a compressor from a window A/C that used freon 22?
Thanks Mike

Yes you can, as long as the output is about the same. I wouldn't use 134A freon in it though unless it's a fairly new one. The old oils in the compressor doesn't like that new freon. (134A)
