Funny/interesting quotes you've heard...

Postby WarPony » Sun Jul 20, 2008 1:29 pm

I see alot of folks put things in there signature line at the bottom of there posts. Some religious, some funny, some serious............ I like it. When I was waiting in line at Home Depot yesterday, I saw a quote written on a dry erase board that made me laugh........

"Time is an excellent teacher........... too bad it kills all it's pupils."

What are some of the funny ones you seen/heard/live by?

SHUCKS..... I change mine out every 3 or 4 weeks (or sooner) depending on the mood that strikes me. The one I use most frequently though is "Through early morning fog I see, visions of the things to be, the pains that are withheld for me, I realize and I can see...". If you recognize where it is from, it is not one that I would ever follow through on!!

The American citizenry is never in such peril, as when congress is in session. (I think thats how it goes) Thomas Jefferson.
He walked into the room and everyone thought him a fool. Then he opened his mouth, and removed all doubt.
All that is needed for evil to flourish, is for good men to do nothing.

Sometimes I lie awake at night, and I ask, "Where have I gone wrong?" Then a voice says to me, "This is going to take more than one night."

Don't you wish there was a knob on the TV to turn up the intelligence? There's one marked 'Brightness,' but it doesn't work." ~~~Gallagher

The problem with common sense is it's not all the common.

That's one of my favorites Julie!

I love quotes...I'm actually working on some promotional bookmarks for my Etsy shop that have some interesting quotes on the front and my shop info on the back.
"Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on or by imbeciles who really mean it." - Mark Twain
"The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift." - Albert Einstein

myhotcomments.com

that's usually where I find myspace comments (no, I'm not addicted to myspace) and for bday greetings to use on here etc....

can find LOTS of quotes there ... like these that I really like:

Don't worry about the people in your past, there's a reason they didn't make it to your future.

Do what makes you happy.
Be with you makes you smile.
Laugh as much as you breathe.
Love as long as you live.

When life gives you a hundred reasons to cry, show life that you have a thousand reasons to smile!
