As some of you know when I joined I had stated that I'm a bigfoot Investigator and thought a teardrop would be nice to include into my needs for all weather camping, a few of you even had a little fun with this but something you may not know, is that it is believed (time will tell for sure) that a couple of GA boys stumbled upon a dead body of a Bigfoot. I found an article that I would post that has no teardrop relation whatsoever. Enjoy.

Bigfoot Body Discovered
The Effects on Science and Society

Body of Sasquatch, or Bigfoot Discovered The recovery and preservation of the body of a deceased Sasquatch, or Bigfoot, in the mountains of the State of Georgia, USA, is an unprecedented event that will have far-reaching implications in science and society at large.
The Bigfoot specimen discovered in Georgia is described as the complete corpse of a large, muscular male, 8 ft., 8 inches tall. and weighing in the range of 400-600 pounds. The creature is covered with a coat of long, reddish-brown hair, and the facial characteristics have a combination of human and ape-like features, tending more toward the human, according to reports of eye witnesses. Samples taken from the remains have been submitted for laboratory testing.
The creature commonly known as Bigfoot, or Sasquatch is, to date, an unclassified non-human bipedal primate that inhabits the wildlands of North America. Though very large and powerful, the creature is secretive and elusive. Primarily nocturnal, the Sasquatch avoids contact and direct confrontation with humans. Research indicates that they are nomadic or migratory omnivorous foragers and hunters, traveling in small groups or solitarily over large areas of wilderness. Their routes tend to follow the waterways in areas with dense vegetation.
Comprehensive analysis of the specimen will enable the creatures to be scientifically classified, and could result in the involvement of the scientific community at large, which has generally been sceptical of sightings. Ideally, the corpse should first be left intact and have several types of non-invasive imaging scans, such as x-rays, magnetic-resonance imaging, sonogram readings and CT scans. DNA typing, blood sample analysis and screening, and superficial inspection can be performed concurrently. In the due course of time traditional dissection and thorough anatomical studies could possibly be performed if the discoverers, Matthew Whitton and Rick Dyer allow it.
As a cautionary note, all samples and specimens of this or any future remains should be screened for pathogens and microbes, and all due diligence in sanitation and measures to prevent direct contact with the body or fluids should be observed, with both living and dead Bigfoot. It is possible that the creatures may harbor virulent bacteria, viruses or the parasites that carry them. The Sasquatch, or Bigfoot, habituated to living in the wild, most likely have robust immune systems and have probably acquired immunity to many types and strains of microbes, some of which humans may not yet have had contact with. An example of cross-infection from other primates would be the deadly outbreaks of Ebola in Africa, resulting from contact with deceased, infected gorillas and chimpanzees. (Conversely, there is a possibility that humans may harbor microbes and pathogens that could be deadly to living Sasquatches.)
Although the public exposition of the Bigfoot body and publication of the video and photographic documentation of the discovery will definitively establish the existence of the creatures, the knowledge will certainly raise more questions than it answers. Given the Bigfoot's resemblance to humans, it is quite likely that they may be closely related genetically to our species. Chimpanzees are said to have a 98% match in genetic components to humans. A Bigfoot may have a closer match and may even present difficulties in the differentiation between their genotype sequence and that of humans.
A species closely related to humans would be of intense interest to those in the medical profession. Ethical questions will arise in dealing with the concepts of using the creatures for medical research or genetic manipulation and cloning. There is also a speculative possibility that the Sasquatch and humans could
interbreed. (There is a reported case of this occurring with a similar being in one of the former Soviet-bloc countries- link to story)
Proponents of both the theory of evolution and the creationist hypothesis will undoubtedly discuss, debate and propound their viewpoints on the issue. For example, what implications in religion, philosophy and ethics would result if Sasquatches and humans could either interbreed or be hybridized by gene-splicing? (Imagine an eight-foot tall, 500 lb linebacker. Would he be welcome in your place of worship?) For evolutionists, there will be many questions related to the lineage of hominids and the Sasquatch's place in the order. Creationists will speculate on their origins. Were they passengers on the Ark or, are they feral humans or the result of some unnatural phenomenon?
On the popular front, the discovery will galvanize hunters, researchers and outdoorsmen of every ilk to trample the wilderness in pursuit of the Sasquatch. There currently is a $1,000,000 contest for the best verified picture of a Bigfoot taken by a stationary mounted trail-camera.) Legislation governing the trapping and hunting of the creatures will need to be considered. There have been, and will be, planned, concerted efforts to capture a live Bigfoot. Given the size, speed and strength of an adult Bigfoot, this would be a potentially dangerous undertaking. Bigfoot are apparently intelligent and cunning enough to set up an ambush of their own. (Picture a lone hunter who wounds a Bigfoot and is suddenly beset by several of its near relatives that he was unaware of.) At any rate, there will be a lot of fodder for the Tabloid presses and the Entertainment industry.
In the fields of Anthropology and Primatology, there will be considerable interest and investigation. Every aspect of the creature's habits and interaction with the environment will be scrutinized. There is a possibility that eventually, Sasquatches may be granted the status of a protected, endangered species, and wilderness conservation areas could be designated as habitats for them. Some of the claims made by those who maintain that they have long-term contact and even friendly relationships with the creatures may gain validity, and be the subject of scientific inquiry. There are those who assert that they are able to communicate with Sasquatches by the spoken word, in English. As outlandish as this may seem, it is certainly an area many wish to research, including those who are intrigued by the sign-language communication abilities of Koko the gorilla and other higher primates.
The planned exposition of the body is slated for September of 2008. Given the volatile and emotional reactions that the announcement of the discovery have triggered to date, the situation may be difficult to manage. There may be legal difficulties causing delays, and the possibility of acquisition by governmental agencies for reasons of health or policy. Whatever happens, we will be witness to an historical event of considerable significance and influence.
