If it's not broken, you're not trying hard enough.

Make sure you have a backup before you try new software!! I use and recommend Acronis True Image to make backups.

Sounds interesting to me .... I've been thinking of getting one of those Digitial TV receivers that you pop in a USB port, I think they are around $50 ... but that's just to pick up local tv and you don't need an internet connection. I am online because of a 'borrowed' wireless connection from some neighbor of mine... I can't complain if it's not working! haha

I noticed on this Live TV... it says
Our software package comes with over 3000 Stations (News, Movies, Sports, Music, Clips, Radio, etc.) from all over the world including local, regional and international broadcasts.

But there's no listing of stations to view before signing up...if this is stations from ALL over the world, I imagine the number is so big because maybe a third will be in other languages and no use for me?
I wonder if you get any popular stations like TLC, History, Travel, Lifetime... etc.

I might look into it and try it... I'll post results if I do.
Some things are way over my head !! ...but it keeps me looking UP!

The screen shots of the interface is from "Windows media center" I have this and a TV tuner in my computer so the satelite is hooked up to it to watch TV. (handy for the olympics, I can watch it in a small window on the desktop)
You can also get internet TV from media center but it is mostly trailers, news clips, sport clips and other advertising. You can also watch youtube from it.
I wonder if this is an enhancement to this???

After thinking about it. Since the interface is windows media center You will probally have to have a media center PC too. I tried media center on XP and it was not the same as Vista. Vista has alot more features.

You might want to do a Google search for satellite TV on PC or just TV on your PC to see some of the other offerings out there!

judging by the high number of popups (including dowload dialogs) upon initially loading the webpage i would definately not trust anything they have to offer at all!

This is a program i use. only problem i have found is that the soccer channel has a slow connection, all the others i have tried on this work fine!

I probably am hijacking this thread -It can be moved if needed.

I wondered about live TV on the Mac. Apparently we need a "converter box" of sorts to make it work

Can anyone review this site:
http://ati.amd.com/products/tvwonder650/usbmac/index.html

If you had this and didn't have cable service in the DFW area would you pick up the major stations (VHF UHF)only on a mac? Will those frequencies nameschange with the digital change next Feb?

Thanks,
Marilyn
