Holy Harbor Freight Batman!

Postby rhltechie » Fri Oct 24, 2008 1:06 pm

I have to admit I have never been to a harbor freight tools store…I know I know. But dang!! I went today after getting a coupon in my gmail for something I was actually wondering if it existed…and then one day a HF coupon shows up in my inbox!! So I went for the bandfile (the thing I wondered if it existed as I have a use in mind for it). I almost felt bad when I walked out I got so much for so little, but only for a second. :R

½” bandfile (had coupon)
5 pack of sanding belts for file (had coupon)
4 - 15” ratchet tie downs
A pair of heavy duty work gloves
A C clamp (looks medium sized)
4 - 6” squeeze clamps

I got all of that for $50!! Boy, you know something is wrong with you when you have to post about getting a really good deal on some things that seem so minor. It’s the little things I suppose :D

The rule of thumb with clamps is... when you think you have enough, buy some more. Trust me, I know 8)

Clamps, clamps, clamps gotta have more clamps

Postby Esteban » Sat Oct 25, 2008 11:31 pm

Mandy, you've begun a new obsession. Clamps, clamps, clamps gotta have more clamps. A favorite drug of a teardrop builder.

The Home Depot near me has 99 cent spring clamps in the tool section. I think they have a 2" jaw. I bought about 20 of them. Bought various sizes from Harbor Freight too.

Harbor Freight bar clamps in various lengths are real handy to have. They came in very handy when we built the side wall frames. We've broken a couple by tightening them too much.

You have any pipe clamps yet?

They usually come in either 1/2" or 3/4" and HF carries them!

Mandy, there great thing about them is that if they are not long enough, you just get a longer pipe and you can get connectors to put two (or more) lengths of pipe together. I have 4foot and 6foot length pipes for mine.

I had a 10-inch Henweigh once--best ever. I'll bet they're a good price at HF!
