Ok I started a new project and not directly teardrop related but has a indirect connection. What is it?

A shelf or a floor for the bed of the SSR? Maybe those slots are to clear the top folding mechanism?

Yes it will be a floor. I still have to get some rails to complete the look. Here is the template in place.

Oops, I had it backward in my mind. I didn't know the SSR had those unusual tailgate hinges! Nice job on the fit and finish!
