Hey mister, why does your car have a plug on the grill?
Holy cow, Rose is a teenager now! Done? Surely you jest. A teardrop is never "done".

a plug on the grill is for the block heater. you can plug your car in at night and it will keep the block warm, and hence start in the morning. only use them when it's bitter cold though... calling for -25 F on thursday... we'll see.

if you have a diesel, you plug it in everywhere you can.

tk

My little Ram D50 deisel pick up had one of those, had to use it towards the end of the trucks life, 'cause the unit that operated the glow plugs burnt up.
Drove it like that for about three years... Just plugged it in each night. Never did find the replacement parts... Obviously.

I like the Dodge ad.

"1995 dodge 3.3 liter v6 161k runs great. only thing is i welded the sliding door shut b/c it kept falling off the track."

They don't make 'em like that anymore. :)

Oh you laugh...but my friends and I were going to do that with one of the old Dodge vans we had but there was three problems:
1.) It was blowing tires, and it stopped starting, so we would have to pull it.
2.) We had no place to store ANOTHER vehicle.
3.) There were so many fish hooks inbedded in everywhere/all over the inside of the van that it would have been a hazard drinking and fishing in it!

I love the idea though :)
