540,000 Miles in the Same Car

Postby halfdome, Danny » Tue Jun 23, 2009 10:38 am

This is a GREAT story about an 89 year-old woman and the car she has owned for 45 years.

She has driven this car 540,000+ miles. She drove it to her 70Th High School reunion and really knows how to protect herself....

ENJOY THIS 3 min 30 sec video.

I think I just found my new girlfriend if she'll have me.

On a side note, how do you customize website links to say whatever you want like that and not show the actual web address link? ... "Romancing The Road"

hhmm? Doing that doesn't appear to be self explanatory? Think I'll pm you for clarity on this.

Bravo!

I wonder if a film has been done about the same car and the different owners it has over the years?

And now I sit here once again thinking of my 1969 Mustang. I was the 3rd owner, it was my 16th birthday present.

Had it for 14 years and sold it with 220,000 miles on it (complete engine overhaul at 200,000 miles).

I just could not find a good mechanic out here and it had no air conditioning (I'm from Oregon).

Oh well, it was replaced by a Miata -- another great car (and then another Miata, an '01).
