Now, I'm worried. I'm only 38 and...

What was I talking about again?

Do that all the time with my glasses and I forget what I was going to say, and going in a room and forgetting why I am there.
If I could shut my brain off, I could save myself alot of time, money and effort.

I was working on a project for a professor (working on my BSW) about teaching the elderly how to use computers. Figured I should learn how memory does, and doesn't work as we age.
We have two types of memory, crystallized (hard drive), and fluid, short term (RAM). The fluid memory starts to deteriorate around age 24 and that process accelerates around age 60. I wrote a paper titled "My Fluid Memory is Leaking". Its not all down hill however, as our ability to assemble disparate bits of information increases.
My personal theory, buy three of everything, and by the time you have lost the third one you find the first one.
