I'm thankful for...

Things that don't fit anywhere else...

I'm thankful for...

Postby robertaw » Fri Nov 13, 2009 11:57 pm

With Thanksgiving coming up I just thought it would be nice to remember all the things we have to be thankful for. Like lots of others on this board my income has taken a hit and times are hard.

It helps to stop and think of all the things I am thankful for and the ways in which I'm blessed. Here are a few..feel free to add yours!

#1. I'm thankful that I know Jesus Christ as my savior.

#2. I'm thankful for my family.

#3. I'm thankful for the roof over our heads, food on our table, and that all of our basic needs are met as well as many of our wants.

My sister-in-law teaches 4 year olds in Pre-K. Today she asked her class what they were thankful for. She got the usual answers like apples, bananas, etc. Until she got to our little guy. Lance is thankful for his eyes, and his honesty. (Sometimes we wonder how his brain works.)
We are very thankful for him. And our older 4 kids too! God has blessed us many, many times over.

I am really thankful for my health, my companion (EBONY DOG) my friends and where I live. Also for the trees, snow, and the beautiful high country where I reside. Most of all, for the friends that I have made with teardropping from coast to coast.

This makes me homesick for mountains and snow. I dearly love both!

I would also like to add that I am so thankful for my dogs and their unconditional love! (of course they were included in my original post with "family")

Roberta nice post. I agree with all that has been said. It is nice to take a minute and think of all the things in our life that are blessings to us.
