Flooding in Northern UK....

I just saw footage of the flooding in Northern England and Scotland. Wow. And more rain possible.

I hope our members are okay. IIRC we have some members in the Cumbria region, which is the hardest hit.

we haven`t had a drop of rain in Yorkshire, my favourite camp site is 5 feet under though. I hope it dries out for next year.

I feel sorry for the family of the police constable who was stopping traffic crossing a potentially unstable bridge that unfortunately washed away with him still on it.

I can't think of any forum members in the Lake District (North West England), which is the bit that has been hit worst - one place there has just broken the UK 24-hour rainfall record at 12.4" - not much by hurricane standards but for somewhere non-tropical, that's an awful lot.

Some other forum members and I are only 100 miles from there but there's a mountain (OK, hill) range in between, so it hasn't been anything like that here - I even had the convertible top on my car down yesterday.

We pray for the safety for all our Uk and Scottish friends. That looks terrible there from what we see on the news. More rain predicted too they say here.
