Great video! I bet I could have many a fun afternoon or weekend floating down a river in something like that...

Steve_Cox recently had an interesting thread about building a shanty-boat or floating camper here:
http://tnttt.com/viewtopic.php?t=29433

Hmmm, maybe I could slap a couple of pontoons on my 'Weekender for 5', if I ever get it finished...

steve smoot

We were joking about this very thing in some thread shortly after I joined here...

And for the life of me I cannot remember the fella's name who sent me this in PM! I'm very sorry I erased the PM, and therefore the name of it's author... perhaps he'll chime in one day soon to take the credit for this nifty creation...

One could simply unbolt one's trailer wheels and bolt the trailer axle to mounts installed on the boat (not shown)... capture the tongue... and with the remaining deck aft of the tear, it's galley remains fully functional.

Better put the door on the back instead of a galley!
By the way where is Brick? Haven't seen a post from him in quite a while!

If someone had the space to build a "tearboat", I bet that it would really catch on. Have to start a new organization and call it "Tearboaters"

I think Brick moved on beyond teardrops (not sure). I'm on his mailing list 'cause he bought my Chubby a while back (quite a while back!!!). He was (is) quite an asset (to any forum) with his bank of experience and knowledge.

I'm not much of a "water" kinda guy. Wife bought a ski boat for the boys/grandkids. She got me out on it once and we spent about 2-3 hours exploring up the Toccoa River out of Lake Blue Ridge.

She asked me if I wanted to go out again. I said, "what for, I've seen the lake and river now." That's about it for me and the Lake.

TEN-FOUR, on that....I'm not much of a water person either. I swim not much better than a rock.
