Our own people of Finland, fought hard against - The Russians, secondly the Germans. Basically both at the same time.

It was a secret plan by the Russians and Germans to have Finland as well as the Baltic States all annexed to and be goverened by the Russians. Well they didnt succeed to do that with the Finns however they did with Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

Thus Im thankful to our soldiers that sacrificed their lives in order for us to live in freedom. This was gained solely by our own and without the aid of any other foreign troops coming to our aid onto our soil. All this makes our people and our small country very unique in comparison to other neighboring countries of the Baltic.

It is because of this, I fly our Blue and White with Great Pride and fully acknowledge as to what the word Freedom means. And this feeling I know is amongst all of us here in Finland

The Finish air force was phenomenally successful during WWII flying among others the Brewster Buffalo Hawker Hurricane 1, Moraine and Fiat fighters, against German fighters that were vastly superior. From what I understand they were fantastic shots. Btw Hitler stole the Swastika from them.
An independance that was very hard fought for.

Right on, Heikki, keep the independance alive and rejoice that you are free from the bonds of the enslaved country to your East. Long live the Blue and White. Keep it flying, often and proudly. Ha Det So Bra.
8) Roly (PS, plan on coming across the pond to visit the US in the future, I've a TD you can use)
