So what's your little copyright protection trick?

Kerry found his image via direct search for images. Your request link was from a protected site.

You just need to know where to find the source code in the HTML. Once you find the image tag, copy and paste it. There are other more elaborate ways of protecting a posted image, but if you can see it, you can grab it. Just takes a little know how.

Scott,

I just went shopping online and found the card I liked. It did not say anything on the site about copyright, so I saved it to photobucket and then posted it here.

(Sorry) and without hijacking this wonderful thread any more than I already have, I know you can do a google search, etc. BUT on THIS link: Another Teardrop Christmas Card can you (did you) lift the image of that card?

I found the link as well... but if it was not available, I could have also done a cmd-shift-4 (prt-scrn on the pc) and uploaded the resulting pic somewhere.

I don't know? Maybe it's because I have an Apple computer? But I don't have the ability to cut, paste, copy, or circumvent anything on that site??

Scott G.

(I'm sorry to do battle with a website folks, but the answers derived here will certainly make for a stronger future generation and world peace.)

Scott,

I'm using a Mac....

in your browser, choose "view source"

then search for .jpg

Image

I've hilighted the jpg that I found... If you post that in a message (add img tags of course), you'll see the card...

cmd-shift-4 also puts a picture on your desktop. You draw a rectangle around the part of the screen that you want captured!
