Whats the best Christmas gift you ever recieved as a child

Whats the best christmas gift you ever got or gave as a child. Or Christmas memory?
One Christmas eve early in the evening we got an ice storm and all the lights went out. I was about 10 maybe. We didnt have any heat either. We did have an little woodburner in our closed in back porch, Dad had it nice and toasty so we stayed in that little room for 2 days till the lights came back on. Oh yea I got a tabletop hair dryer that year. It was a nice memory.
Marijo :D
Hope to see you on the road.

Christmas memory...not really a good one but historical. 1964 flood in Humboldt County. lived in Rio Dell. I was 13. Both bridges were out so we could not leave town. Stood at the edge of the bridge between Rio Dell and Scotia and watched all the houses from the town of Pepperwood float down the river. We had a fireplace so many of our neighbors stayed with us. A small airplane landed on main street bringing us supplies.

One year, my father bought used bicycles for my sister and me. He hid them in the neighbor's basement where he broke them down to their components, cleaned them up, replaced parts when needed and gave them a fresh coat of paint. Mine was blue with white trim and I rode the daylights out of that bike!

Early one Christmas morning I went downstairs and there in the living room was a bicycle that I quickly decided was way too big for me and so must have been a gift for my older brother...that I didn't quite understand because he already had a 22" bike. I was soooo excited when it turned out to be mine.....a 20" with a bright green metallic frame and red mudguards...I loved that bike and rode it everywhere.

Got a electric donut maker(similar to a electric waffle iron)when I was 12 or so, still have it(30 years later). Dig it out every once in a while and make donuts.
If I could shut my brain off, I could save myself alot of time, money and effort.

Christmas 1966!!!! Woke up Christmas morning to find a Zero M Sonic Blaster under the tree! Way cool for an 11 yr old  We lived in North Dakota and the company that my dad worked for kept all the vehicles in this huge metal barn. He had to work that day and I got to go with him. Of course, I took my SONIC BLASTER with me. (Guess mom had had enough of me shooting it in the house.) I can remember having the best time using the birds in the rafters for target practice. Yes, I know.. that seems so cruel now..... but dang for an 11 yr old that was pure heaven.
