Surgery Tuesday and scaffold WARNING!

Postby Rickxr2 » Sun Dec 27, 2009 10:11 am

Some of you from LCG may remember I had a fall from a scaffolding this past summer.
Broke my nose, split top and bottom lips wide open, scraped up my chin and face. That all healed fine but I learned a few weeks ago I had two ruptured disks in my neck. aarrrggghhhh!
I'm scheduled for surgery Dec 29th to remove the disks and put a titanium plate in my neck.
This is a great group to be a part of and I feel humbled by the generousity and friendship shown by all in the past. Any thoughts and prayers would be appreciated.
Thanks
Rick

WARNING: Don't just assume the wheels on the scaffold are locked, DOUBLE CHECK. I was only standing 2 feet off the ground, when it rolled I lost my balance and the railing flipped me upside down, landed face first on the concrete.

Rick I am so sorry to hear about your surgery. I didn't even know about your fall until your better half told me. I don't know how I missed it. Any way, if we can do anything just let us know. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

I've been out of the loop I guess. I didn't know about your fall.
I'll pass the word along to Charles about the scaffolding since he uses them all the time.
I'll keep you in my prayers.

Sorry to hear this. Those things happen so fast and unexpectedly sometimes. Good luck with your surgery, and be nice to your nurse ('cause they have ways of getting even)

Rick You are definitely both in our prayers. After just going through this with Trudy it's going to be a strain on Linda too. Hope it goes smoother than Trudy's did.

Thanks everyone for the thoughts and prayers. Lucky me, the snow has messed things up with the doctor and the hospital, surgery is postponed till Jan 7th. Guess I'll just sit back and watch the snow melt. ha ha
