Read here before where some people are hurting for Jobs, so I decided to post this. These jobs are currently open at Robins AFB. It is a depot repair center for the AF and employs about 23000 people.
The jobs are posted here, they have not posted all of them yet, check the web site often if interested.

I work at Robins AFB and they are going to hire about 800-900 people. It takes about 3-4 months to get hired and they will do a background check and drug screening.
Most jobs will be aircraft mechanics and avionic mechanics. You do not need an AP, but if you have one it's a big plus. There are other fields, but most will be those two.
You need aircraft sheet metal or electronics experience. They are always in need of engineers.
There are co-op programs available for avionics and sheet metal mechanics also. You work for 6 months and go to school for 6 months. Takes 2 years to go thru the program. Of course the pay is less and you have fewer hours while you are going to school. Out of state tuition is also higher. These are listed as sudent trainee.
Maybe this will help someone who needs work, I know how it is not to have a job.
If anybody whats more info, they can PM me.
