Well that sure is a pretty fun and nostalgic design for a trailer. Interesting history too.

As far as the real thing goes. I had to explain to a kid what a caboose was. Those days are long gone now. But I miss seeing the caboose at the end of a train with the conductor hanging over the side like I did when I was a kid.

Scott,

I miss seeing them too, that little light on the end car just isn't the same...

My son and I stayed in a caboose in a park in Illinois.
It had a nice bathroom and comfortable beds.
They also had a button you could push to get "the real train" experience.
There was sound, and the caboose rocked back and forth as if it were moving, pretty neat for an adult, probably fantastic for a kid!

I'd guess there must be other places in the country you could rent/enjoy one.

now that's just fun. Too bad a person couldn't ride in it and lean out a side window and wave at people like they used to lol.

I saw one like that but alittle smaller in Santa Cruz, CA on the way up to the first IRG. You could always buy one of these if you had the cash
